Is email verification free to start? +

What does each check mean? +
Syntax confirms the address is correctly formatted. MX confirms the domain can receive mail. The SMTP check asks the mail server whether the mailbox exists. We also flag disposable providers, role addresses (info@, support@), catch-all domains, and free-provider addresses, then roll it into a deliverability score.
Do you send a test email to the address? +
No. We open an SMTP conversation and ask whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect. No message is ever delivered, so the recipient sees nothing in their inbox.
How does this help my agency cut bounce rates? +
Bounces come from invalid, role and disposable addresses on your lists. Verifying every address before you load it into a sending tool removes the addresses that would bounce, which protects your domain reputation and keeps campaigns landing in the inbox.
Can I verify a whole list at once? +
Yes. On the paid plans you can upload a CSV, verify the full list, and export the results tagged by status so you can keep the valid addresses and drop the rest.
What does an "unknown" result mean? +
Some mail servers hide whether a mailbox exists, through greylisting or by blocking probes on port 25. Rather than guess, we return "unknown", an honest answer instead of a false positive that would bounce later.
What is a catch-all domain and why does it matter? +
A catch-all domain accepts mail for every address, so no tool can confirm a specific mailbox exists there. We mark these "risky" so you can decide whether to send, rather than treating them as confirmed.
Do you have an API for our workflow? +
Yes. The API plan gives you REST endpoints and API keys so you can verify addresses inside your own enrichment pipeline, CRM, or outreach automation, with webhooks for results.
Is verification accurate enough to trust for client work? +
For mailboxes that respond honestly, SMTP verification is highly accurate. Where a server hides the answer we say so rather than guessing, so the results you hand to clients do not contain false positives.
